Pinwheels and Popsicles

In last months issue of Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft I had 3 cards featured in the stampers challenge using Flourishe's Pinwheels and Popsicles stamp set. Here is the first of the cards. (I only have two to show you today as I forgot to photograph the third before I sent it away. I should receive it back soon to post it.!) This card features the Pinwheels, and Blowing Wishes Your Way sentiment. I cut a spellbinders circle from some Echo Park text paper and stamped two pinwheels on it. I stamped a second set of pinwheels on the same paper and coloured them with copic markers. I cut them out and stuck them on to the pinwheels in the circle with some dimensionals and added a kaisercraft crystal. I embossed and sewed a kraft background, and added some faux stitching around the sentiment with a Crumb Cake marker.

Stamps: Pinwheels and Popsicles (Flourishes)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Whisper White, Crumb cake
Paper: Sweet day (Echo Park)
Accessories: Spellbinders circle, petite scallop circle and label dies, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spotlight lace, Kaisercraft Crystal, sewing machine

Here is the second card. You can see it's similar to a card in a previous post. I used the same colours and papers. I made this first, and when I needed a card for a friends birthday, I knew she'd love something like this so I made the other one.

This one features the cake, and Wish Big sentiment in the Pinwheels and Popsicles set. I coloured it with copic markers. I sewed a piece of vellum over the dot paper background and added a pennant banner with black pearls. Check back for the third card soon!
